Travel Day Spas
When looking for Travel Day Spas, you have a wide variety to choose from. Many Spas offer wide varieties of expertise, and it is up to you and the spas in your area to decide what treatments you want. Some treatments may include manicures; which usually entail trimming, shaping and even painting your nails, pedicures; a manicure for your toenails, facials; a scrub or face massage, and massages. Day Spas may have different forms of a treatment from spa to spa and all treatments should leave you feeling more relaxed.
For starters, every one of the Travel Day Spas should have changing facilities for men and women as well as private rooms for each client receiving their personal services. The therapists and estheticians should be licensed as well as having a business license, and should be trained using the products that they carry. Every spa should be clean, friendly, and professional. You are coming here to relax and anything that does not meet these guidelines should be a warning.
Day Spas and Travel
Different Travel Day Spas will give treatments in their own steps. At some Day Spas, a manicure may include a warm lotion rub, exfoliating hand scrub, cuticle trimming, and nail painting in the color or design of your choosing, as well as a hand massage. In kind, pedicures may contain the same for your feet. Massages are another area of vast difference at Day Spas. There are many different forms of massages and some Day Spas may only carry a few, others may have a whole menu. Some massages will include aromatherapy, which means that a particular scent may be present, most commonly lavender, that will relax your body.
Travel Spas also vary in exfoliating treatments, mud (clay) wraps or baths, and spray tans. Exfoliating means that you will receive a coarse grained rub, usually with salts and oils, which removes dead skin and promotes healthiness in underlying skin. A mud, or clay, wrap or bath is a nutrient rich mud or clay that is used to relieve stiffness and pain. A spray tan can be administered by a staff member of the spa or can be self administered by stepping into a shower-like booth and pressing a button. It is a spray that coats your skin and may darken over the next few hours leaving you with a healthy looking tan with out needing to be in the sun. Most spray tans do not have sun block in them, so you will need to be wary when out in the sun.
Most salons will have a list of what they offer for you to choose from. They may have the gratuity included or not and you should tip ten to fifteen percent, or a minimum of ten to fifteen dollars. The Travel Day Spas will answer any questions you have and as you receive your treatment, should tell you what to expect. You may feel free to alert them to your comfort level; let the personnel know if you are too hot, too cold, or during a massage, whether to use more or less pressure. Your ultimate goal is to relax!
